How to turn on TalkBack on Android (and off again)

TalkBack is the built-in screen-reader that comes with Android devices.

There are 2 ways to turn TalkBack on on Android.

1. The hard way - through Settings
2. The easier way - through the device's volume control buttons

1 The hard way - through Settings

To turn it on on Android head to Settings > Accessibility > TalkBack and set the toggle button to on.

2 The easier way - through shortcuts

First turn the shortcut on. Go to Settings > Accessibility > TalkBack and set the ‘TalkBack shortcut’ toggle to on.

Then Talkback can be turned on by holding down the up and down volume buttons on your device for 2-3 seconds.
